1984
First Ezell’s Location Opens
Ezell's opened its doors for the first time in 1984 on the same day as the inaugural Bubblin' Brown Sugar Dance-Off event at Garfield High School.1987
Sonics and Seahawks Partnership Launches
Ezell's begins bringing meals to the players of both Seattle teams. Often times, before a road trip, Ezell's would have to deliver the food to the team plane on the airport runway. To this day, Ezell's feeds the Seattle Seahawks players nearly every week.
1990
Catered Oprah’s Birthday
Ezell's Famous Chicken was invited to cater Oprah Winfrey's birthday in Chicago. Our company co-founders made the trip to hand-make Oprah's favorite food for her special celebration.2011
Welcome, Dennis Waldron
Dennis Waldron joins the team, forming Delighted Guests, Inc and setting the stage for future franchising growth.

Food Truck Franchise Launches
Ezell's introduces the food truck to the family of franchised locations. Today, the food truck operates as an independent location, bringing Ezell's goodness to a variety of neighborhoods and events.
2013
Mill Creek Restaurant Opens
The north end location opens in Mill Creek, introducing the "fast casual" concept with updated menus and a fresh new restaurant design.
